Supporting the Museum

Museum of the Moving Image is the only institution in the United States dedicated to exploring the art and innovation of film, television, and digital media.

The Museum offers the public a distinctive, highly interactive core exhibition; thought-provoking changing exhibitions, high quality film programming; onstage talks with industry leaders and creative professionals, and innovative online offerings. Inspiring education programs serve over 50,000 students and their teachers annually. A selection of the Museum’s unique collection of over 130,000 artifacts is on view in the core exhibition and on the website.

Each year, a large portion of the Museum's funding is provided by the City of New York and other government agencies. The Museum also depends on the generous support of individuals and institutional donors who share a commitment to its educational mission.
